The Velt Blog

Ray's Bradbury book the Veldt is about a couple have a futuristic house, the house make everything for them while they do whatever they want. On this house the is a nursery for the kids and it takes form of whatever the kids imagine. Thanks to the futuristic house Gorge and Lydia didn't spent much time with their kids. The kids began to hate their parents and always imagine Africa on the Nursery. Their parents didn't like that so they decide to turn off the whole house. How the kids hated their parents they turned on the house and killed their parents with the room.
"The ceiling above them became a deep sky with a hot yellow sun". This quote tell's me how real this room could be. They are talking a room that can project a sun and it feels real as the real one. And that on this room you can even feel different type of climate.
"Nothing over there I can but cleaned bone, and the vultures dropping  for whats left". On this quote we can feel how dramatic is the actuated of Lydia cud be. She sees this room with horror because she is scared of all the things his children imagine, and she feel guilty because of that.

I think that what inspired Ray Bradbury to make this story and what he want to transmit to us is that little by little technology is taking over our life's, and it is driving us away from the people we love. What i have learn on this story is that technology can make our life's essayer but we need to have conscience when we use it. Also thanks this story helped me to identify myself more with Ray Bradbury because this year little by little I have started using more and more technology and most of the time I cant find and stopping point.

The giver 17-20

What happen here was the kids playing the war game and Jonas stopped them them Fiona invite him to a bicycle ride but Jonas reject it because he cant share his training. And the giver also tells Jonas that before him there was other receiver of memories and that her name was Rosemary. Then Jonas saw how hies father was realizing the kid.

What most impact me while I was reading was when the giver told Jonas that he has another place to be that when the job is done he wanted to be with his daughter. I think that what he meant was that his daughter was realized and that she was on a better place.

I think that this book is really good and the author writes a lot of details about each character so the reader get ti k ow each character better.

The giver 4

Andres Chiriboga
On this new week of reading we recently read that Jonas will be the new receiver  of memory which is an very honorable job.  But now with this new assignment Jonas feels different he feels apart and he is really scared because he fears that it is going to be like that for the rest of his life. The receiver has to get all the memories of the old world and it is the only person on this community that knows all does memories. When Jonas received the rules of his assignment he was most impress by the las rule that it tells that he is able to lie. This impact him because all of his life people have been teaching his that the truth is the most important thing.

This is making me question a lot of the rules of the community, I mean why don't they make them choose their own dessitions of why do they don't led the people of the community have the old memories. I also have been questioning form the past chapters why do they want a perfect world or why did they realize important people like Roberto.

My final thoughts are that I am really curious about how Joan's will do on his assignment of if he will continue his relationship with Asher. And I am very exited to continue reading to get the answers to my questions.

1. On Jonas dystopia it is currently happening that the have show that it is not an equal society because when Lily ask on the table if she cud be a birth mother her mother told her that the don't have an useful life. Also on their ceremony on twelve Jonas has been assign to be the next ressiber. Also Jonas is starting to take his peels because he is entering his puberty.

2. What impact me the most is that is mandatory to tale does peels because it is natural for fill does feelings if is part of puberty, but that community is so oppressive that they won't even led you feel that, Also that shows that community thay can't have kids by themselves that's why there is the birth mothers. But I think that thay do that to controll the population.

3. I don't think that this community is much worse than ours, but it is too oppressive. Also so far the book has been very entertaining and the author gives a lot of details so it is eassy to take the picture of what is heppen

1. What is happening on Jonas's dystopia is that he is close to getting his ceremony of twelve and he isn't sure about assignment he want to be assign. And also on the table of their house his little sister Lili comment that she want to be a birth mother and her mother told her that it was a bad idea so that shows that on this community everybody isn't  equal. And Jonas is starting to take his peels to stop puberty.

2.What impact me the more is the part that they have to share their feelings and dreams on the table. That impact me because most of the time I don't want to tell my feeling and the fact that is mandatory for them to do it, it really surprises me.

3. My thinkings are that this book is really good and it has really change the way I think. And I am very exited the read what assignment will Jonas will be assign and if he will like it.
